ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Mark Malolos is a 22 year-old interior designer currently living in New York. He graduated at University of Santo Tomas (UST) in Manila, Philippines. Before finishing his degree in interior design, Mark became an intern at Heim Interiors and Heima Home & Lifestyle, which made him understand more of the actual design practice earlier even before he graduated. Upon finishing school, he worked as an assistant designer at ASYA Design, a known architectural firm in the Philippines. He was able to be a part of design team that manage projects such as offices, malls, and luxury residences where he was exposed to site visits, design provision, material specification, and working drawings.
Moving to New York City, his interest in styling and "NYC as the best place on earth" made him work at Goodwill Industries as a part-time Visual Merchandiser, mainly focusing on window displays of stores around Manhattan.
CREATIVE SELF-STARTER
Along with translating everyone's tastes and preferences through designing, Mark brings classic, contemporary, and timeless approach. With current trends as his playground, he uses his interest in styling and blogging to gain a broader knowledge about how can design change and improve, as he tries to understand different lifestyles of people. His brand speaks of redefining "raw" into something "refined" and unexpectedly interesting.
